• When Taketsuru returned from Scotland, Settsu Shuzo did not utilize his newfound expertise due to financial and personal reasons. However, Iwai, passionate about whisky, later joined Hombo Shuzo, which owns Mars Shinshu Distillery. Using Taketsuru’s detailed notes from Scotland, Iwai helped establish Hombo Shuzo’s whisky production
